Our After School Program is designed to offer students in grades Kindergarten - 5th many opportunities for intellectual, physical, and social development. Children take part in a wide variety of group and individual activities including homework time, snack time (snacks provided), arts and crafts, and organized games. We offer a quality program that includes planned activities to complement the school experience. Our highest goal is a warm, safe, caring atmosphere for the children. The After School Program begins as soon as the participants enter our site and will continue until 6:00 p.m. Our program operates on-site every day that school is in session. If school is closed due to inclement weather, our program is also closed. On school breaks and holidays, we will be offering "DragonDays." These full-day activities will have a separate fee. 

Due to the nature of our exemption from State licensing for School-Aged Children from Georgia Bright From The Start. All children must be potty trained before being allowed to participate in any Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department Childcare programs. This includes AfterSchool, DragonDays, Parents Night Out, and SummerCamp. The Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department is not a Daycare and does not have the proper diapering facilities or laundry to accommodate children who are not potty trained.

Payments & Fees: 

The Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department AfterSchool program operates on a pre-payment basis. Payment is required the Monday before the week of attendance, one full week in advance. Payments are non-transferable and non-refundable.

• In-City Pricing: $60.00/week (siblings after the 1st child will be $55.00/week).
• Out-of-City Pricing: $80.00/week (siblings after the 1st child will be $75.00/week).
• All participants are required to have their account paid through auto-draft of either a debit card or credit card.
• The required weekly payment will run consecutively for the term of the school year and will not stop for school holidays, closings, or cancellations.
• The Registration Fee for Jefferson City residents is $30.00 & for residents outside the City of Jefferson, it’s $50.00.
